Tell us what you think of Darcylicious, Matthew Macfadyen or his body of work.
I have been fan of some actors before, but since I saw Pillars of the earth,I am totaly crazy about Matthew.I've seen about 27 of his movies and love all his work.Pity I don't live in London,I would see some stage work.I always admired actors who love to work on stage,I am so happy to find very exceptionaly one,who can play anything. This site Darcylicious is best site to find Matthew's work,I am visiting here daily for fresh news.America doesn't know Matthew so I only depend on this site what is going on in England. Thanks for great work.
God it has been ages since I last saw any of his work but he was pretty good in the movies I did watch.

Hello! affkfgb interesting affkfgb site! I'm really like it! Very, very affkfgb good!
Best Mr Darcy ever - absolutely beautiful eyes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Embarrassingly, I have only just become aware of Matthew over the last two weeks. I can not believe how impressed I have become over one person. Starting with Pride & Prejudiced (loaned to me by a friend) I watched while recovering from a recent surgery. I confess, I must have watched at least 10 times. To be taken back in time... was inspiring. And as I have realized by watching countless interviews of the project and your biography, you truly are an accomplished actor. Please know this is my first time of even attempting to contact or input an opinion on someone of your stature. I've spent the last two weekends getting to know you and your characters better. Have laughed hysterically at you and your wife's characters in Death at a funeral. I know only from a four year high school experience in the theater, which is only a millionth of a second to what you have put into your career, of the feeling it is to be on stage. Your parents must be so proud of you. And Keely, is truly a lucky woman to have you in her life. Your children will appreciate all that the both of you have accomplished. I eagerly await for the Three Musketeers to come out on video! (regretfully again, didn't see this in theater!) I've also rented MI-5 to see the two of you in earlier years.
After finding MM amazing in Pillars of the Earth, I've officially become nuts over this guy after watching Pride and Prejudice. I watched P&P fives times last week. I have never been obsessed over anyone in my life, but Matthew (also my son's name coincidentally) has changed that a tiny bit. Great job to you!
Happy & Prosperous New Year to Matthew, Keeley and the whole Family.
The same gows to all the Darcylicians who entertain us so wonderfully throughout the year with all the updates. CHEERS!
I am not new to this website. I have enjoyed this info in M.M. for a long time and try to follow his career. I find this website helpful as to what M.M.'s new plays or movies that he is preparing.
You're really a great actor! Just finished watching Pillars of the Earth, so brilliant!
Saw 3 M's in 2D and 3D, Matthew excellent. Great swordsman ballet. Can't wait for next film, Anna Karina. R Upstate NY
I have never been to watch a new movie on opening night but tonight I went to see the 3 M's in 3-D and Oh! what a spectacular vewing this was. Awesone, Brilliant, Magnificent and I can go on and on. Even though I am past my prime and beyond, I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it. Truly a Three Muskateers for our times and I believe Oscar bound. Matthew, our beloved thespian of course, stood out the best.
Happy belated Birthday to Matthew and Best regards to all Darcylicians.
CHEERS!
Much Love and Happy Birthday Its been a while since seeing you in London on the boards in Lives. Can't wait for 3 M's

Hi there. I know I'm late to ride on the MM train but I swear it's not my fault. We don't get a lot of British TV over here, which is unfortunate. Weird thing is "Spooks" was actually shown here a few years ago but I am not much of a spy fan, even when a friend and my older sister recommended the show to me. I guess you could say I discovered my admiration for MM when that same friend pointed out to me he was the guy in "Pride & Prejudice" when we were out watching a movie and the trailer for "The Three Musketeers" came on. I've always wondered what happened to him, I mean I kind of expected he would go Hollywood and be huge like Clive Owen. Reading the info here, it turns out he's not really aiming for Hollywood stardom (which is unfortunate 'coz he definitely could show those leading men like Clooney and Pitt how it should be really done). Maybe part of the reason too is 'coz he's got a family. Anyways, my friend told me to watch "Frost/Nixon" (before that I've ignored it everytime it aired on HBO) and although he looked very different there, I immensely enjoyed the movie and his performance in particular (although the film was well-acted overall). I knew then I was a fan, and wonder of wonders! I saw a trailer for "Pillars of the Earth" yesterday and it will premiere in Asia on Sept. 21! Anyways, so that is my story of falling in love with MM, sorry for the length, but yes, I am looking forward to seeing him in more international films :)))
Favorite Macfadyen moments:
Warriors: the "sort me out" moment
Perfect Strangers: boxing his distant cousin in to the wall
Wuthering Heights: reading the poem
In My Fathers Den: All of it - a perfect movie, perfectly acted. If I had to pick one, it would be the way Paul goes vague when describing his mother's death to Celia
The Way We Live Now: the final scene, but really all of Felix's scenes
P&P: the proposal/refusal/fight including the almost kiss - brilliant idea, the hand gesture with the gloves in the beginning of the previous attempt at a proposal
Thank you, Matthew!
Dear Matthew,
I hope you are well and also your family in these hard times for citizens of London and other cities in GB affected by rioting. I am sending you and all decent people in London best wishes.
